Lions Charity Golf Day for Little LifeSavers

The Billingshurst and District Lions have made Little LifeSavers their chosen charity to support for their Charity Golf Day on the 24th of May 2024.

A group of dedicated volunteers serving the local Billingshurst community, the club has been a pillar of support for many years. We hear directly from the President of the fantastic Billingshurst and District Lions Club.

The Lions and Little LifeSavers

Little LifeSavers is a wonderful charity with a similar ethos to the Lions. It is all about community and especially our shared aims of supporting youth in the community. Little LifeSavers teach school children and pass on the skills needed to create a “nation of lifesavers”.

The Billingshurst Lions run an annual programme offering a range of support to local schools and have done so for many years. In 2024, we’ve linked with Little LifeSavers, and with the Lions’ support, they will be teaching over 2000 local children the skills needed to save lives.

Lion President Peter Coleman said:

‘The Billingshurst and District Lions Club are proud to support such a committed local charity as Little LifeSavers, teaching school children the skills needed to save lives’.

A like-minded partnership

Here at Little LifeSavers, we’re delighted to have partnered with such an established and positive establishment and one that shares our vision. The Billingshurst and District Lions have been supporting Billingshurst and the surrounding villages for 50 years. They even have a very popular and well-loved bookshop that raises funds that are used to fund projects in the local communities. The bookshop also allows the Lions to give a free book to every child in 10 local primary schools. This programme has been running for the past 10 years, loved by the schools and the children.
